How you will make an impact

  • Build and establish scalable finance processes and policies that support CarbonSix as we grow across Korea and the U.S.
  • Strengthen financial visibility by establishing reliable accounting, reporting, and cash management practices.
  • Develop budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis frameworks that help leadership make faster and better-informed decisions.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to provide financial insights that support key business and investment decisions.
  • Help build the financial foundation and internal controls needed for CarbonSix’s next stage of growth.

Key Reponsibilities

  • Accounting, Finance & Treasury
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing for Korean and U.S. entities, including consolidated financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Develop cash flow plans and manage day-to-day treasury operations, including payments, bank accounts, and cash scheduling
  • Coordinate tax filings and serve as the primary point of contact for external accounting firms and tax advisors
  • Handle day-to-day finance operations, including expense processing and other finance-related administrative tasks
  • Establish and improve internal controls, finance processes, and policies, including accounting procedures, approval workflows, and accounting standards
  • FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)

  • Prepare financial materials for investor communications, shareholders, and Board meetings

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, finance, or related functions; experience in startups or venture-backed companies is a plus
  • Strong understanding of core accounting and finance operations, including financial statement preparation, tax filings, and treasury management
  • Thrive in a startup environment and know how to work lean. You should prefer making practical decisions and move quickly based on the situation rather than relying on highly structured processes typically found in larger organizations.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats. As finance team is still lean, you are willing and able to work across accounting, treasury, and FP&A and take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities.
  • Enjoy building processes from the ground up. Rather than simply operating within existing systems, you should be excited about designing, implementing, and continuously improving accounting and finance processes and policies that fit the company’s stage and needs.
  • Self-directed and resourceful. You should set your own priorities and be comfortable building and using the tools you need, whether through Excel, spreadsheet-based financial models, AI tools, or other solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience working as a finance professional in a startup or early-stage company
  • Experience with, or a strong understanding of, accounting and finance operations for overseas entities, particularly in the U.S.
  • Experience supporting financial due diligence during fundraising rounds such as Series A
  • CPA, tax accountant, or other relevant professional certification, or an academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field
